| Description: | This piece was created in the mid 1990's and
unfortunately the creator's name has been lost. The piece shows a human
figure riding on the back of a deer. This is a very unique assembly of deer antler; fossilized whalebone (a vertebrae that is used as the base); jawbones; antler root (likely Moose or Caribou - the face is carved into it); and also includes to different types of fur. It is held together with the ingenious use of brass pins and screws. |
