legends", compiled by Ruth McCorkle and illustrated by Wilbur
Walluk (Robt. Seal publisher, 1958). Walluk was an Inupiaq artist from
Nome, Alaska and an ancestor of Brian Kulik. A rare copy of this small
book will be included with the purchase of this piece. As with most oral
traditions, the story of the Kokogiak (or Qupqugiaq) varies a bit; look
around the web for some interesting reading. |
