3-Piece "Women" Belt 1/5 1989 by Denise Wallace

3-Piece "Women" Belt c.1989 by Denise Wallace *Vintage

This is truly "wearable art". Two female figures adorn a belt which has a very detailed version of Denise's "Woman In The Moon" design as a central buckle. These two figures are derived from the Wallace's 1987 masterpiece belt "Women's Belt I: While Men Are Out Hunting, the Women Are Busy, Too".

Comfortable, adjustable and highly demonstrative, this belt can be disassembled and worn in a variety of ways - each of the three main elements can be worn as Pins or Pendants; the central buckle has a removable 'face' that can worn as a pendant while you wear the rest as a belt; the little doll lifts out and is also a pendant. Transformations abound!

The belt can be worn at any waist size; The "hardware" assembly covers an area about 7.25" wide; the central mask is 3" tall; the leather belt is 1.25' wide.

Materials are Sterling Silver, 14Kt Gold, Fossilized Walrus Tusk Ivory, Lapis Lazuli, Bruneau Jasper, Sugilite, Ink
