Bear Shaman Pin/Pendant by Denise Wallace (#2 of 5; 1988)

This is a Transformation piece representing the Bear Shaman and is derived from an element in Denise's 1988 masterpiece "Transformation/Shaman Belt" now in the collection of the Mingei International Museum in San Diego, California. It has two articulating arms and a Bear mask that hinges upward to reveal the Shaman's face, singing his song.

Materials are Sterling Silver, Fossilized Walrus Tusk Ivory, Sugilite and Lapis Lazuli

2 7/8" tall X 1 1/2" wide
