Artist unknown; likely from the Nome, Alaska area.
This piece could have been intended for the lid of a Baleen Basket or perhaps a toggle for clothing. It seems like the drilled holes came through the top surface and the artist changed plans. Maybe someone else has a better thought on this? Please get in touch with your ideas!
