It is regrettable that this piece is unsigned! It is very well done and completely unique.
The top of the barrette is 1 7/8" wide. The pin is 4 3/4" long. The area for a ponytail is about 2.25" wide and 5/8" deep - most of our customers would consider that this barrette would hold a large ponytail (though it could be used as a 'cover' for a scrunchy).
