This Transformation piece is a stunning Mask than can be worn a few ways (see the photos). The whole piece can be worn as a pin or pendant; the inner mask can be taken out and worn independently; The frame of the mask can also be worn as a pin or pendant.
This is a shining example of the skilled lapidary work of Samuel Wallace at his finest - note the exquisite carving of the face in transformation from man to walrus. It is also a stellar example of Denise's amazing work with metals in her cut outs, silver wrappings on the spokes and the amazing fit of the inner piece into the framework of the mask, plus the scrimshaw of the facial details. It's another piece that should have its own display frame for when it is not being worn!
