Mom has her nose to the ground while the cub stands just behind, following his protector as she leads him through the world unknown. Of medium stature, this family stands 4.25” tall and 8.5” long and is carved from a single piece of serpentine mined locally in Nunavut.
Kooyoo Peter (b.1966) is a talented carver from the Kinngait area of Nunavut, Canada, and a member of a family of artists - his father was Ejetsiaq Peter (1937-2011).
